Established in 1947 as Berman Bros. (Pty) Ltd, we are still owned and managed by the same family, now in it’s third generation. Our involvement in the LPGas industry started in 1965 when LPGas was first introduced into South Africa on a large scale. In the years that followed members of The Gas Company family have become industry leaders in our field. We have been represented on numerous SABS (SANS) committees to establish codes of practice within our industry. We were involved in the initial discussions and setup of the SAQCC, which has now been written into law as the official accreditation for gas installers. The Gas Company, under our parent company M & H Cohen CC, was a founding member of LP Gas Safety Association of Southern Africa, the industry mouthpiece.

We have two fully functional showrooms at Centurion and Pretoria West. Our range of products include anything from the smallest O-ring to domestic stoves or industrial strength burners. Once you have selected your appliance, our representatives will arrange an appointment and meet you on site to advise, design and quote on any pipework installation necessary. All local authority approval and the like are handled from our offices directly. Our installers are SAQCC registered and come with years of experience, which equals complete peace of mind for you, the customer. Our maintenance teams are highly skilled and will come to your site to service and repair almost any gas appliance.

We have a large LP Gas filling plant with a stock holding in excess of 1 000 cylinders at any time. Deliveries are made daily to your home or business premises. We do not only stock and distribute LP Gas, but also Helium, for balloons, the latest welding shield gases and almost any other gas. Appliances, spares and maintenance for these gases are handled at either of our branches.
